History

Matthew Andersen started his legal career working with President Judge Stephen G. Baratta of the Northampton County Court of Common Pleas. Thereafter, Matt began working for a mid-size law firm, with offices throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, where he predominantly worked in the firm’s alcoholic beverage practice. At that firm, Matt had the privilege to work with hundreds of alcohol businesses in nearly all areas and issues that can arise in those businesses. A majority of his practice is with alcohol manufacturers, such as breweries, cideries, distilleries and wineries, from the start-up and licensing stage, to regulatory compliance and document drafting, to the ultimate sale or dissolution of the business. However, Matt frequently represents restaurants, bars, grocery stores, convenience stores, beer distributors and hotels in liquor license sales and transfers, ownership changes, premises extensions and many other areas affecting their liquor licenses.

Matt realized a need for cost-effective legal solutions for the many small to mid-sized alcohol businesses, which is what inspired the formation of ALC Law LLC.

ALC Law LLC opened its doors in April 2021.
